The short version of how FIA works. For anything else, talk to the team.

What is FIA?
Freedom In Action is a location-based social network built by Talking Cucumber Ltd. Instead of a global feed, everything on FIA sits at a real coordinate: posts, events, alerts and communities. You set a radius and see what is actually within reach.
What platforms does it run on?
iOS and Android, built from one codebase so both platforms get the same features at the same time. Beta 2.0 ships through TestFlight and the Google Play testing track.
What is Beta 2.0?
A complete overhaul of the app. Dark mode as the default, a rebuilt map with clustering and radius alerts, redesigned community pages and profiles, and a new motion system across the whole interface. This demo site mirrors that build.
What happens with my location data?
Your precise location stays on your device. When you post or RSVP, you choose what gets pinned and at what precision. Your radius setting filters what you see and is never published.
Who can start a community?
Any member. Communities have a home turf, an organizer roll, events and a broadcast tool that reaches members inside a chosen distance. The member list belongs to the organizer, not to us.
What does the beta cost?
Nothing during the beta. Testers get the full app in exchange for honest feedback. Pricing for later releases will be announced on talkingcucumber.com and on X at @cucumbertalk.
